Speed drills push your ceiling upward with short bursts above your comfortable pace. The science is simple: occasional controlled overspeed teaches your hands what faster feels like, then your sustainable pace follows.
How to get the most from this drill
- Push 10–15% above comfortable speed — fast enough to strain, not so fast that accuracy collapses below 90%.
- Bursts, not marathons: 30–60 second efforts with breaks beat one long grind.
- If accuracy drops hard, back off. Speed built on errors un-builds itself.
