Who it's for

This course is for

  • Applicants sitting both the GRE and the LSAT in the same admissions cycle
  • Candidates deciding between graduate and law programs who will take whichever test fits
  • Strong writers whose speed collapses on unfamiliar prose under a reasoning load
  • Anyone who loses 10 to 15 WPM in the final block of a long timed essay

Probably not for

  • Applicants taking only the GRE or only the LSAT — the single course is cheaper
  • Anyone looking for essay coaching or argument templates; this trains typing, not content
  • Typists already producing 600 clean words in half an hour with time to spare

How the course works

  2. 2

    Drill

Work through vocabulary, phrase, and paragraph lessons in order. Each one is short, replayable, and saves your best speed and accuracy so you can see the trend.

  3. 3

    Simulate

Finish with full-length timed simulations that mirror the real format, so the pace of the actual test feels familiar rather than frightening.

Why typing speed matters for Grad & Law Essay

Both tasks are graded on argument quality, but argument quality is capped by how much you can get down. At 30 WPM a 550-word essay eats 18 to 19 minutes of a 30-minute window; at 50 WPM it takes about 11, and the difference becomes planning and editing time.

Neither environment offers spellcheck or autocorrect, so accuracy is not a nicety. Whatever leaves your hands is what the reader sees.

Sustained typing is a different skill from sprint typing. Endurance drills at essay length are what stop the last paragraph from being the weakest one.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy this if I am only taking one of the two tests?

Buy the single course for the test you are taking — each is sold on its own with lifetime access. This bundle is for applicants who will sit both, or who have not decided between graduate and law programs yet.

Are these the official GRE and LSAT writing tasks?

No. These are independent typing courses built around the format, length, and time pressure of each task. GRE and LSAT are trademarks of their respective owners, and SureTyping is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Every prompt is original practice material.

How fast do I need to type?

There is no cutoff, but the arithmetic is unforgiving: a 550-word essay at 30 WPM consumes most of the GRE's 30-minute window. Around 50 WPM at high accuracy leaves real time for planning and a read-through, which is what the drills build toward.

Can I buy just one of these courses instead?

Yes. Every course in this bundle is also sold on its own, and each one is a one-time purchase with lifetime access. Bought separately they come to $58, so the bundle at $39 saves you $19 — 33% — if you want more than one of the 2.

Can I try Complete Grad & Law Essay Prep before I buy?

Yes. The first 2 lessons of every paid course are free previews — sign in and start typing. If the drills feel right, one purchase unlocks the rest.

Does my progress save?

Yes. Lesson completions, speed and accuracy history, and your all-time best records are stored on your account, so you can pick up on any device where you left off.

Beginner courses are free for every keyboard layout. Start with the free lessons or get All-Access for $99.
